Brush Company Assist Cheswold with a field fire

On Monday at 3:15pm the Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a outside fire in the area of Mckee Rd. Command 43 w/ Chief Josh Dempsey went on scene with a moderate area of grass on fire. Command 43 then discovered a second fire down the road in the area of Rose Bowl Rd and Fork Branch Rd. Command 43 asked for next due brush company out of Station 53. Brush 53 w/ Crew Leader Jeremy Virdin, Squad 53 w/Chief Sam Boots made the response. While enroute Kent Center advised Brush 53 to make access off of Fork Branch Rd. to access the second fire. Crews from Brush and Squad 53 extinguished the fire and investigated the area for extention. Units responding to assist Cheswold Fire Company, Brush 53, and Squad 53.
